Young Pigeon Feather Macro Photographs
Three black and white photographs of a single feather from a young pigeon. The photos are captured using a macro lens and produced in black and white. To give you a sense of scale, imagine that the feathers are as tiny as your thumbnail.
The second photo in the above series is more reminiscent of a fish skeleton with very fine bones, rather than a tiny baby pigeon feather. Do you agree?
If you’re curious about hatchlings, and baby pigeons – squabs the online publication – Bird Fact – has some excellent articles about Baby Pigeons.
In addition, you’ll find complementary bird feather photography here. You’ll see photos that document the feathers I’ve found, as well as, more playful photos that use feathers to create patterns, and pareidolia effect experimental artworks.
Have fun exploring the archive of pigeon feather photos.
