Train Station Photography

Black and white train station photography taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The public transport in Kuala Lumpur (KL) is super convenient. And an efficient way to travel around the city. I’ve lived in KL since 2015  and choose to live close to LRT or MRT lines. This enables me to tour the city via public transport, rather than have the hassle of using my own vehicle.

I’m unaware of any regulations/restrictions about camera use on the station platforms and the trains. However, I do try and be respectful of people’s privacy. It’s been my experience that some people tend not to like being photographed by strangers. Fair enough!

Rail Photo Gallery Updates

This blog post includes half a dozen images taken at various train station platforms throughout KL – Malaysia. Furthermore, these pictures are also featured in the ‘Rail Gallery’ on this website.  This gallery is now updated with new work. If you’re curious about trains and have an interest in Malaysia there’ll be something in this Gallery for you.

In addition, here’s a handy link to a Transportation Guide should you visit Kuala Lumpur.

I explore and document urban and natural environments, often focusing on reflections, shadows, and patterns. My camera walks allow me to capture found objects and scenes that tell stories through everyday details. In my journal, I share these explorations and offer a glimpse into my process.
