Newstead Street Photography – August 17, 2025

A Sunday photo walk through Newstead, recorded here as field notes from 17 August 2025, where familiar streets reveal small discoveries along the way.

Mischief with signage turns No Parking into Parking Anytime. Outside ONS Boutique, dusk sparkles scatter across the wall from a sequin dress in the window. An abandoned sofa sits heavy on the sidewalk, evidence of lives shifted on.

A cap from Life Without Barriers, a national not-for-profit dedicated to social justice and reconciliation. Shop windows become mirrors for self-portraits, reflections folding strangers and self into a single frame. Mirrors flanking a garage door split the light into sharp ridges.

A cactus shows new growth, stubborn against concrete edges. A letter addressed to a dear darling diva waits folded in the street.
